CReAITech bei der Public Climate School 2025 in Augsburg

From November 24 to 28, 2025, the University of Augsburg, together with the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and the City of Augsburg, will open the Public Climate School (PCS) to the public. Around 40 events from various disciplines will offer insights into scientifically based knowledge about the climate crisis. The interdisciplinary event is being coordinated by the Centre for Climate Resilience (ZfK), which develops interdisciplinary strategies for climate resilience and works out applicable solutions at the regional, national, and international levels.

We are participating with a workshop on artificial intelligence and climate change: „Can AI save us from the consequences of climate change?“

Date: November 25, 2025
Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: University of Augsburg, Building I, Center for Climate Resilience, Room 1201/1202
Lecturers: Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schlögl-Flierl (Director of CReAITech, Head of the Chair of Moral Theology at the University of Augsburg) and Kathrin Hertle (Managing Director of CReAITech)

This workshop brings together two key challenges of our time: we will discuss how AI can help tackle climate change, while also highlighting the environmental impact of AI technologies.

Our director Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schlögl-Flierl will also moderate the opening event of the Public Climate School: „The UN Climate Change Conference COP30 in Belém: What has been achieved?“ on November 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the Old Cafeteria of the Technical University of Augsburg.
