Artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine supports doctors by quickly processing large amounts of data and providing suggestions for diagnoses and treatment options. The use of AI is changing medical practice and the interaction between doctors and patients. The Center for Responsible AI Technologies aims to incorporate ethical issues into the development and implementation of AI technologies. This article in the Science and Research in Augsburg research supplement of the Augsburger Allgemeine daily newspaper presents the MedAIcine pilot project, in which researchers are focusing on the use of AI in medical imaging.
